Julia's Story
Life
After high school I attended Malone for 4 years, then moved to Arizona to teach in a small, rural school. After 5 years, I followed friends to Las Vegas where I have lived since 1970. I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff for a master's degree. During my years here, I have taught elementary grades, worked with the gifted program, taught in a one-room school with 6 grades in the same class. I retired in 1999, but spent 2 years as a day care director and principal of a small private school. Now I am blissfully retire...Expand for more
d again. To keep busy I participate in church functions, volunteer for a hospice, work with two historical committees, and play bridge with friends.
I am married to a wonderful man who works at Intermec Technology. Although I have no children of my own, I have one stepson, 4 step grandchildren, and a foster daughter in college.
I love to travel and have been blessed with opportunities to travel Europe, Hungary, Israel, and many parts of the U.S.
I have enjoyed living in the desert with big, blue skies and warmer weather.
