Julia's Story

As I'm entering the early "golden years" I find that I laugh more, argue less and savor each moment more deeply. Mellowing is a good thing! At the same time, I'm more adventuresome than I was in the past. (Menopause and motorcycles have come into my life in the same year!) I've never married but am in a committed relationship with a wonderful man who is a constant source of joy and laughter. My dad died 14 years ago and my mom passed on 6 years ago -- it's a strange feeling to lose your heritage "anchors" ... guess that means I'm offic...Expand for more
ially an adult. My brothers (Bruce, Peter and Steven) are all doing well. Parkinson's disease has been the major challenge in my life. I've had the disease for better than 26 years and, until the Spring of this year the disease was winning! Between March and June 2008 I underwent 4 separate brain surgeries that have miraculously given me back my life. I have gone from being largely wheelchair bound to being fully mobile. I have been many times bleassed and am so grateful. I would love to hear from anyone who would care to drop me a line.
