Julia's Story
Life
I live in Kingston. I have a son named Cody who is ten, and three dogs. I am a nurse, and work in Kingston. I love the beach, and go horseback riding often. I love to travel, and do whenever I can. My boyfriend, Brett, builds homes in Duxbury/Pembroke, and he enjoys traveling as well. My family all still live in Duxbury, and we are hoping to return there someday, when the prices aren't so crazy! I work part time for a real estate firm out on Eagle's Nest, and the rest of the time I work per diem at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston as an RN. My son is a little socialite now, he's got all his events, so I guess I'm a soccer mom now. I don't feel a day older than 15, but 30's are starting to show on my face. Life is too short! I can remember Duxbury High like it was yesturday, the people, and the teachers! These days, things have changed alot there, and nothing that went on in our day is still happening! name is Julia Nichols, and we live out on a small horse farm in Rochester, Ma. I love it out here, it reminds me of Duxbury in the early 80's. Small mom and pop shops, not too crowded and everyone knows each other. When I return home I feel like there's so much traffic and so many houses built on top of one another, it's kind of sad. That said, a family friend purchased a number of houses at the end of Standish shores and tore them down to reclaim the land-hurrah! Imagine if we all had that type of income to be able to create parks and encourage wildlife habitats. I feel like we are ruining the Earth and it's all in the name of materialism. My son is 22 years old now, and works full time on the farm. I am still a nurse, and we also run a horse sculpture business which is always an adventure and I've learned so much about 3D computer modeling in the past two years as well as manufacturing. My husband, Brett is not well and is about 8 years into an MS diagnosis, but he does the best he can. I hope all of you are well-I've seen two of our classmates lose spouses and I can't believe we are at this stage in our lives...time flies. Grab every day!
