Julia's Story
Life
After High school, I was in such a hurry to get out of town. I was accepted to University of New Mexico, and flew halfway across the country for college. I was more ready to party and sight see than anything else. I was passing most of my classes, but College Algebra was so advanced, I failed it the first semester, and was heading to do the same the second. Although I was reluctant to come home, it seemed like my only choice. A year off from school probably would have been a better idea for me.
I returned home to my parents, and started Miami Dade Community College where I got straight A's in College Algebra. I decided to major in Business Administration, and got my Associates degree in 1998. It took me a while because I was working part time as a clown, and at the Palmetto Elementary after school care.

applied to Florida International University where I was aceepted to start Fall 2000. My family said I could go full time, and not worry so much about work. I graduated class of 2003 with a Bachelors in Business Administration, majoring in Management with an Entrepreneur track.
During college, I joined the FIU Greens, and became an avid member. The group was small, and I served as the secretary, the treasurer, and the Student Organization Council representative. The group was able to show monthly documentaries, and had a big Peace Awareness day event on the University Park campus.
After graduation, I got a job as a Sales Consultant for Carico International, and have been doing Business consulting for friends and family on the side. I also enjoy volunteering with various Grass-roots groups, helping with the family business, and modeling.
