Julia's Story
I married Les Martin in May 1972, then had one child, a daughter we named Jennifer. I spent the next 22 years moving from one Army assignment to another as Les was in the Army. We lived in North and South Carolina, Georgia, Hawaii, The Netherlands, Germany, Turkey while in the military and Florida, Wisconsin and back to Nebraska after Les retired from the Army in 1994. 007 Les died of cancer and I moved back to Fairmont, mainly to be close to family which has meant alot to me through the years. I live next door to my older sister Janet. She is the best sister you could ever hope to have and I have been lucky to have her with me.
I don't think very many people remember me from high school, I really didn't do anything remarkable.
Now I like to quilt and own a long arm quilting machine that I enjoy using to make tops into quilts for others and myself.
