Julie's Story
I filled this thing out in case any of my high school friends are as interested in seeing what I'm up to in middle age as I am in looking at their profiles! Thanks for posting; I'm interested.
I live in St. Petersburg, Russia, since 1995. My husband, John (remember him? student teacher in band in 1980), teaches Youth Ministry at a Russian Bible College.
I work at a small Christian school for international kids, where our four go (grades 11, 9, 6, 4). I am an Administrative Assistant to the school Director; once...Expand for more
a week I get to direct the elementary choir.
Do we like it? Our little 4-room apartment is "home;" its been an adventure learning Russian language and coming to love Russian people. Our kids aren't fluent--they feel "international" more than they feel "Russian."
I do miss my parents and seeing my nieces and nephews grow up...and I miss easy shopping and American customer service!
Before 1995, I taught at Indianapolis Pike and Noblesville High Schools--assistant choir director in both places.
