Julie Ann's Story
My sister, Fran, told me that many Fitton classmates were here so I thought I'd check and see. I'd love to be part of a reunion sometime ~ can you believe our 50th is in 5 years!
I joined the Franciscan Sisters in 1967 and spent 20 wonderful years with them until I met and fell in love with the man I left to marry...and no, he was not a priest! Jim and I had 8-1/2 wonderful years of marriage before he died suddenly of a heart attack in 1998. Five years later, I met my current husband, also Jim, who was also widowed and we are having the most wonderful life. Together, we have 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren including our newest twin gran...Expand for more
ddaughters born on July 4 last year (2008). We retired in 2006 and drove across country for 4 months camping in National Parks and visiting friends and relatives along the way. Now we're both teaching...Jim is a permanent sub at our regional high school until June and I'm the volunteer coordinator of the Junior Achievement program for 5 of our local elementary schools. I love knitting and crocheting, gardening, cooking and entertaining family and friends in our home for dinner and weekends but I also love quiet times with Jim when we just get in the car and wander through the country, state parks, off roads where the birds and wild things are.
