Julie Bass's Story

Life I moved to Redding, CA the day I graduated Marshfield in 1985. I love it here. My husband, Jory and I have two gorgeous boys, Levi (7) and Trase (5). I am also blessed with three wonderful step children, Paije (15), Jenna (28) and Dain (24). My children are so much fun and I'm just loving life. The best part about living in Redding is that most of our family lives here too. Nothing is more important than family! I am having fun hearing from old classmates, so feel free to drop me a line ;-) School This summer my family and I visited Marshfield High School. Wow, has it changed! The graveyard is stunning, the land is beautiful, the views are spactacular, and the buildings are gorgeous. I really didn't appreciate MHS's beauty as a teen, and I'm sad to admit that. friends that I met during my young life in Coos Bay. College I finished my RN degree at Shasta College in Redding, CA. Nursing is great because there are so many types of careers you can have with your RN degree. Presently I own a cosmetic laser center and I love to use the lasers to make people look and feel better. I am very happy I chose this career! Workplace My business is Disappearing Act Cosmetic Laser Center. We remove unwanted hair, tattoos, wrinkles, brown spots and spider veins. It is very fun and rewarding. I work in my husband's office, which is an Ear, Nose, Throat and Facial Plastic surgery practice. Occasionally I fill in as his allergy nurse as well. I only work about 12 hours a week so I can spend a lot of time with my two little boys, who are still in pre-school. I love both my job at the office, and the wonderful job of being a loving mommy and wife.
