More about Julie:"I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1994. At that time I was living in Minneapolis. After the first diagnosis it pretty much couldn't tell that I even had the disease. I moved to Denver in 1998. It took until 2009 for my friends to see what multiple sclerosis was. In February of that year I had a major exacerbation which left me unable to speak, unable to eat, and paralyzed on the right side of my body.

ly when I met Ellen, but we were friends and she took to the hospital after six weeks and began to care for me. She didn't get paid for it, she did it because if you know Ellen, she has biggest heart I have ever known.
Eventually Ellen did get paid but at the time both of our lives were in a tailspin.
Now to the present. Ellen rescued me once again last year, and brought me here to live with her and Ronnie and her mother in a beautiful four bedroom house and I have my own room.
This last year, there still have been some hard times, but those days are over. Ellen is employed by an agency called authentic home care to take care me. I don't think she gets paid enough, but at least she has a job, and if I can help her in any small way to stay out of jail, that's least I can do for her.
She is my caregiver and my sister.
Right now I am recovering from a moderate exacerbation. With lots of rehab and Ellen leading the way, I have no doubt that I will recover to at least where I was when I had this current episode.
I also have something I never had my life. A family.".
