Julie attended Parkview Arts Science Magnet High School, graduating class of 2001. She later attended Missouri University of Science and Technology, earning a B.S. in Biochemistry with a Psych minor in May 2006. Pharmacological & Physiological Science in 2012. She moved to Pittsburgh, PA for her postdoc at the University of Pittsburgh.
Julie met her husband, Greg Briski, in Pittsburgh and married in Cancun, Mexico in 2016. They currently live in Pittsburgh, PA and are expecting their first child, due Spring 2019.
