Julie's Story
Life
I have been places now in life that I never in reality thought I would go. I am a dreamer, a mom, and sometime student.
My kids are the highlight of my life. Since disability has struck my life, I have a much better view to things. I have found life to be a long painful journey. There have been some good points(my wedding, the births of my boys and my daughter) but overall it has been a long hard road filled with lessons learned the hard way. I have learned a high tolerance for others (for the most part) thru intolerance of myself. I have learned the value of family and good frie...Expand for more
nds thru death and loss in general. I know the value of a few really good friends over masses of aquaintences. I know what it means to be a true friend thru good times and bad and am grateful for those who have done so for me. I have known what it feels like to want to die and the joy of those around me that remind me not to give up. I have known such pain and loss as many others close to my age have not yet met and may never know. I have gained a measure of happiness in learning to love myself and to see myself as a valued person, a lesson that was hard to learn and was slow in coming.
