Julie's Story
For anyone who might remember me, how could I choose "one" school? I listed Alton High but moved and didn't make it there and always wished I had. Of all the places I lived, somehow Alton was the best.
After moving from Atlanta, GA when I was about 8 to Williamsburg, VA and then ending up in Alton, IL - I attended Godfrey Elementary amd West Middle School. I ended up in Mt. Vernon, OH instead of staying in Alton and hoped I might find some of my girls I left behind at Classmates... I think about them now and again and wonder how life turned out for them all...
I found another great group of people to hang with in the small town of Mt. Vernon. This despite the fact that new people didn't fit in well there... The close friendships I made there filled my life with so many good times and special memories.
It was then back to my home town of Atlanta, GA and McIntosh High for 10th grade and then on to Waco, TX. From Waco, I moved to Dallas. I married and had twin girls. And the story continues from there...

though there were many people who attempted to stay in touch with me back then, you might understand how I became a little discouraged. Letting go seemed easier than constantly having to miss people in my life. Contact probably would have dropped off eventually anyway but I have always felt horrible about how I coped with things back then and the great friendships I let go... I just shut down because it's what I do!
Anyone that feels like saying "Hi" please do. I thought using this site seemed ridiculous but the older I get, I figure why not see who's out there and what they've been up to. I have ventured out into the world of facebook and myspace these days, which seem to be better resources for finding old friends and staying in contact.
And, if you are wondering why Russell High School is listed as one of my schools, it's my dad's high school...he attended there many, many, many years ago...Delano "Red" Clay. I can get any messages to him but just know I'm not GOLD so can't read emails here and notes posted.
