Julie's Story
My Story...
I was a very shy, introverted Soph. my first year at Jeff. I couldn't wait to get out of high school.!!!
I went to Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1966 after graduation (late summer) to meet a boy that my Aunt (my mother's sister) had been writing to her about!! My mother's sister (Sister Mary Vincent) just happened to be the Administrator of the hospital in Jonesboro, (St. Bernard's) at the time, and kept writing to my mother about this WONDERFUL Patrick Davis, who she hired to work part-time while he finished college at Arkansas State Univ.!
The way my Aunt talked about this "Patrick Davis"...I thought, nobody can be THAT great...so I went to Arkansas just to meet him!
Anyway, the rest is history...Rick, (nickname for Patrick) and I met, dated for two years (during that time, he was accepted at the Uni...Expand for more
v. of Arkansas Medical school), and we married in 1968.
Rick and I had our first child Deborah Beth in (1969), and when he finished medical school in 1971, our son, Jonathan Patrick was born!
Rick and I had 5 more children over the years...Michael Glenn (1973), Eric Robert (1977), Susanna Marie (1979), Matthew Stuart (1982), and Jillian Kristen (1984) A total of 7 children...who are my greatest acheivements!
The best part of my life, so far, has been raising my children!
So, there you have it...a "shy, lonely girl in high school" marries the M.D., and has seven amazing children... stay tuned though...because, the rest of my life will be the BEST of my life...I always save the best for last! :)
"Grow old along with me...the BEST is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made..."
