Life Dropped out of HS after my freshman yr at Estancia.....Hit the road with the HA's (never had "PROPERTY" on this butt! LOL) Lived life to the fullest! By the time I was 27, I had had ENOUGH! Settled down in Durango, CO (the Rockies) for 15 yrs...Had first Kid at 29, 2nd at 31...Jessi (daughter) was at my wedding to her father in '87"" (he was a friend that paroled outta Folsom Pen in 1986 & did time, 9 yrs, for Armed Rob in CALIF...I married him 1 1/2 yrs later, anyhow!!!)...Jessi is a 18 y/o ADULT today! (8/18/05) & just like me now, butt mellow) Happy B-Day Babe! Dean (son) is almost 17 & sooooo like me it is scary! LOL he has hung around home longer then I did, butt I'm NOT my mother..LOL! Hoping he stays outta trouble. I should have ended up doing time or dead, butt lucked out I guess.Many parties, sleepless nights, unknown # of men...butt that was the '70s, yes? Tried my first joint on Estancia fields, first cross-top with Debbie Gonzales on the way to EHS, one sunny morning (she lived over in apts. near Monrovia/19th st...anybody remember her?).....And my first taste of White Horse herion, junk, China White for those NON-druggies) & needles by 1974. Finding drugs during H.SCHOOL changed my life entirely! I Was a self-conscience, extremely introverted, young woman...quiet, loner, not many friends, never had a guy chase me like some...Drugs changed me into a VOCAL Extrovert, that voiced her opinions LOUDLY, Was pushy when needed, bitchy BAAD attitude when the fight was on & not afraid to use her fists in a fight! Packed a 8" single blade Buck on my hip, a .410 sawed off shotgun (still have that one!), leather scabbard, & .38 holstered revolver on my Hip. I lived in AZ where this was still legal back then, & in the CO Rockies where weapons were a given. I had turned into the opposite of what I had been, all because of Drugs! I remember most of my childhood being ~in LOVE LOVE with Corky Winder~ from kindergarten to the end of the 9th....Jeez, I had it bad for you until my 21st b-day. Remember my family house on Arbor St, up the road from Frank Delgados house? We ran into you guys & we started partyin, drinking, etc for my b-day? So I remember some of it Corky, only part, the rest, nope! done alot of stupid Stuff,butt no regrets, finally learned how to do it without drugs, made me who I am NOW!! And I really do like myself these days! Left Costa Mesa in 1979 (saw some of you before I left! I do remember some things in that yr!)....Moved (ran again) to AZ desert after the Rico Act (federal right to harrass!) started to come down on OC Bikers... In AZ, I just picked up where I left off! Same shit, different day & yr! Moved (ran further) to CO Rockies in 1984 with a stash of speed, a tent trailer & the dog...Hid in the mtns until the stash ran out & I was forced clean! THANK YOU-THANK YOU-THANK YOU (quick bows LMAO!!) In the mean time, went BACK to school & obtained my GED/BSN (Bach. of Nursing) & specialized in psych....Butt, ya know? THAT is like an alcoholic being a bartender....I was warned, I was tempted, and I damn near lost! Did you know this fact: That, I would say, at least 80% of the staff in the Med. field are stoned on SOMETHING?? Maybe 'cause most were of the 60's/70's? Or were in a stressed out profession? Remember that, if you make a ER visit or admitted to a Med/Surg floor somewhere...You've been warned, tempted & might LOSE!
