Julie's Story
I am presently an Executive Assistant at a large mortgage company and have been employed in the financial industry since the 1980s. I was married in 1983 and had a daughter in 1992. I spent two years at Montreat College as a full time student attending night school from 1996-1998. I gave up school when my daughter was seven and started speed skating competiti...Expand for more
vely. The sport runs 10-11 months out of the year and requires a lot of time and dedication as a skater and a parent. She has been quite successful and has six national medals. Ten years later she's still skating and I'm proud to say that I've been there every step of the way and have priceless memories. My life is relatively quiet and simple, and I'm happy.
