Life
Do you remember me, do I remember you? If your are travelling to New Zealand look me up. I'd love to hear from you! I've been married 18 years and have a 12 year old boy. What took so long? We spent a lot of time travelling. I was a travel agent for 15 years and we spent all our time out and about in the world. I met my husband in Nairobi, Kenya and we lived in the UK for 4 years where we got married in 1989. We then lived in San Diego for 13 years until we moved to New Zealand. We were living in Gisborne, but now have moved to Whangarei, about two hours north of Auckland. It is much more tropical up here and a little less isolated. It's an exciting place to live. near a harbour and get the occassional Orcas (Killer Whales), they seem pretty harmless just as long as you are not swimming with them. The Kiwi's are great people and very friendly. Most of the time it doesn't even feel like a foreign country. We even have a Westfields shopping centre only an hour and a half away. The Kiwis also love their lifestyle. They don't expect people to stay late at work, "Go home, go fishing...go play." We get the occassional polar blast, but otherwise it's a pretty temperate climate. We love to camp in our caravan ( trailer) and spend the summers camping by the beaches, rivers and lakes. In the winter we camp at the various hot springs all over the North Island.
