Julie's Story

Life For any of you that visited my profile a year ago and I said the wedding was scheduled for July of 2010 ... we didn't get married, in fact we are not even together anymore. We made our journey, arguing all the way here and when we got here he had no enthusiasm for life and kept giving most of the money he was earning to his ex wife for alimony so we would never get ahead and into a house which was one of the reasons we were so excited to move here ("we could finally afford a nice house"). Well, I couldn't continue to live this way so after a year I got the heck out. Into my own one bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor where I can see all the pretty mountains around me and I can make as much noise as I want (pitty the poor people who live below me when I play my music and dance around) ... lol My daughters are both doing great ... only one stayed in CA and only the one in CA is in college. She's a real go-getter working full time and pulling 12 units at college. Wow!! The daughter in NM is aspiring to be a pastry chef and waiting for the new semester at the culinary art school she is hoping to get into. I am also back in college aspiring to get my paralegal since I am working full time in a law office now it seems like a smoothe transition from a secretary to a paralegal. I'm only pulling 6 units a semester ... I would die with 12 units. (lol) Hope someone from my past will get hold of me and come pay me a visit during riding season, there's lots of lovely places to cruise and see and since the Grand Canyon is on the way ... : )) ...Expand for more
I've been living in the East Bay Area of California for over 20 years. I've been an independent single mom for about 12 years and those 2 beautiful, intelligent daughters that are very much a part of me are 18, graduated, enrolled in college and in there own place already. Somewhere along those 12 years I met a younger man and fell in love. While on vacation last month, this wonderful man of mine surprise proposed to me on July 29th at the top of Sandia Peaks in New Mexico after 3 years of dating. With the girls on their own and doing so well we decided to begin a new chapter of eternity and move away to New Mexico. Something I've been dreaming of for a long time. On August 31 we will be driving a big moving truck to New Mexico to share a life of love and new experiences ... hope we can find jobs. :) I know I will see my girls regularly but I will miss them very much. I'm leaving the job that has helped me in raising these girls by paying me just enough to pay our bills and have a little joy on holidays. (If you know what I mean). While I won't miss the way things are run at this business I will miss the every day of the past 7+ years and my fellow co-workers and friends. I like to have fun and live life to the fullest. I am soon to be 45 ... My how Time Flies!! Can hardly believe I've lived this much life already. Pains, Joys, Tears and Laughter ... Life Is Love!! I will try to update more .. the wedding is scheduled for the end of July 2010 ... Please keep us in your prayers. Drop a line I'd love to keep in touch. Keep Smilin'
