Julie's Story
My story ~
After graduating from high school and going the "partial" college route (I guess I'm on the 30+ year plan), I ended up a bit of a free spirit, before finally meeting my husband Scott, a 1980 JM graduate in 1984. We got married in 1986, had Nicole in 1988 and Brittany in 1990. I went back to RCC in 1994-95 and took some Accounting classes, which I loved, but which also took a lot of time away from the family. The years have gone by quickly and now it's time to watch our girls go through the "early-adult" years and to reminisce about those good old days. Nicole attends Brown College in Mendota Heights, and is majoring in Digital Photography (the creative one). She'll graduate later this year. rcise Science (the athletic one). The house would be pretty quiet these days if not for our two Dachshunds, Roxie and Scooter.
For fun, we like to boat, camp and listen to Jimmy Buffet on the Mississippi during the summer, ride horses in the spring & fall, and snowmobile and ski in the winter. I miss the high school events...CC meets, hockey games, and believe it or not, the 4-hour long track meets, but now we have time to do other things - happy hours with friends are not uncommon! :-)
I've been at Mayo Clinic for 22 years, in various roles. I now work in Administration, supporting the Chief Planning Officer and the Rochester CFO. It is fast-paced and a bit stressful at times, but I love it.
