Julie's Story
Life has changed dramatically since covid made retirement happen quickly for us! We now babysit two or three days a week for a 3 year old, 1 year old and a 5 month old. It is the best blessing I could imagine but we get warn out!
Before covid I had a grown child on each coast and one here in Fort Wayne, but another covid blessing happened, After almost 16 years in the LA area, my daughter moved back to IN! I'm so happy to have her near, although our regular CA vacations were nice.
My youngest is still in MD. He is a pulmonology critical care doctor stationed at Walter Reed but will soon be moving to a facility in VA so they purchased a home. They ...Expand for more
have a 16 month old son, because of covid we have only met once.
The love of my life, dad of my kids, died in 1999 after a three year battle with cancer. I was a widow at 45 with kids who were 9, 12 and 14. But we survived and I have three great kids:)
I remarried in 2004 and gained three step kids and some step grandkids. We also took in a young lady in 2006, she had just graduated and needed a family who cared! We consider her a daughter and her husband our son in law and her kids are two of the kids we babysit.
Family is the first thing that brings me joy:) We also vacation frequently, have two dogs, a large garden and a often used bonfire pit.
