Julie's Story
I went to the University of Iowa. I have two degree's. I have a B.A in Elementary Education and a B.S in Leisure Studies. (Park and Recreation Management) I work for the Linn Mar School District. I married in 1995 to Kevin. We were together about ten years, and married about five. In 1999 I had a beautiful baby girl named Samantha. She was born with Down Syndrome. She is now twelve and the best thing that ever happened to me. She is awesome. I feel very lucky as my life has always moved forward. but someone has a plan for me and my life. I am blessed with wonderful friend and family. I have hooked up with a lot of classmates via facebook and it has been great catching up with everyone. I wish everyone the best the life has to offer. Just remember that " ______ Happens" It is how you deal with it and move on past it that makes you the person that you are in this world. Don't try to change something that isn't meant to be changed, and don't try to fix anything that isn't broken. Most of all see what is right in front of your eyes. It takes less energy to be happy and more to get upset and mad. Always remember a smile is contagious!
