Julie's Story
I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. I had other aspirations as well, but being a mother was the one that I clung to the most. Now, here I am, married to a wonderful man who makes me feel special and like I belong somewhere and two adorable and very smart children. Being a mother isn't as easy as I originally believed it would be, but it's been worth it in many ways. The other aspirations I was looking at while growing up all seem to be rolled up tightly into this one dream. I'm a teacher, a storyteller, even a counselor. It's a pity the pay for my job isn't great, but I'm told that the long-term benefits are excellent.
My hero was always my own mother. She was always there when I needed a listening ear. Whenever I needed to talk, I knew I could go into my mother's bedroom, or where ever she was at that particular moment, a...Expand for more
nd just talk about my problems. She always seemed to understand. I'm not as good at that; my patience is not where it should be, but I'm improving every day.
I was born and raised in Yakima, WA. Then, right after I met the man who would become my husband, I moved to Ellensburg. Later, after marriage, my husband and I moved back to Yakima, where we stayed until about a month after my daughter was born. Then, my husband lost his job and we moved to Kennewick. I've been there ever since.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Cheri Baker, because she was my very best friend when I was a kid.
Regarding obsessions, I'm still very much into D&D and other roleplaying games, much as I was since the age of 12. I collect dice, books, bells, and stationary. My biggest obsession, though, has to be my husband and children.
