Julie's Story
Life
My husband and I are happy hanging out with our six children, four boys and 2 girls, the oldest is now 15 years old, the youngest is 5, and we provide forster care for 2 more. I've homeschooled for seven years now and love it. Saturdays are spent on the soccerfield or working in the yard - unless its snowing, then I scrapbook, while the kids sled down the road. It's not exciting but it's perfect for us.
Workplace
Long ago are the high school evenings spent making hamburgers at Red Steer. After college I went to work at a Photo developing place in Boise. That lasted about four months. I went to work for Lifetouch Portrait Sudios, at the JCPenney Portrait Studio in Boise Towne Square. After a few months I became the manager. That was fun and even chaotic at times. d at the Idaho State Bar. The people I worked with were wonderful and I learned a lot. I worked on their magazine, "The Advocate", and filed the many, many papers that bar exam applicants had to submit. I even helped administer the bar exam before I left. I quit full time work when my second child was born and went back to the JC Penney Portrait Studio just during the Christmas seasons for the next three years. St. Luke's Regional Medical Center was my next employer. I was a Unit Clerk in Labor and Delivery. I loved it! By the time baby #3 was a year old I was exhausted from working night shift. My husband was offered a job in Elko, Nevada and we took it. Then baby #4's pregnancy kept me from going back to work and I've stayed home ever since.We also added babies #5&6 to our family. However, my work load has only increased with being a mom, housewife, and home schooling.
