Julie's Story
A lot of you will remember my Mother. She was, and still is quite a talker. Everyone was welcome to gather at our house and Mom was a teriffic cook. She always made sure that we had plenty of snacks. As you can see in the picture above, she is still a beautiful lady. This picture was made on Mother's Day this year. My Mom had a stroke last August and had to take speech for a while, but with God's help she is much better! Our roles are reversed now, I take care of her.
Today is July 22, I think I need to add a little to this story. My beautiful Mom is really having some bad days. She is suffering with what her doctor thinks might be shingles, even though she does not have the outward signs that usually go with this. that I have. The stimulator that I have implanted needed some updating done. Last Monday evening (14th) I had some of that surgery. Hopefully my staples will come out tomorrow. I will also get to learn how to recharge the new system I have implanted for my spinal cord stimulator. This battery should last for about 9 years. I praise God for that, the old ones only lasted at the most, 3.
Let me share another blessing from My Lord. My oldest son and his wife Filisha just found out that they are going to be parents. Ted has a son by his first wife, but Filisha was not married before. Jacob, Ted's son is very excited at having a sibling, after all he is 11 and has been an ONLY and spoiled for a while now! Now all of a sudden his mother and stepmom are both expecting babies. God is so good, Terry and I are so excited about having another grandchild. There is nothing more precious than creation!
