Julio's Story
Julio Gonzalez founded Engineered Tax Services (ETS) and Return On Energy to marry the science of architecture, engineering and energy with the principles of tax and accounting to arrive at financial solutions that result in increased cash flow, minimized tax payments and increased ROI and return on energy.
These IRS sanctioned services include Cost Segregation Studies, Energy Tax Credits (179D) and Deductions, Energy Audits, Insurance Appraisals and Energy Development credits.
ETS is a nationally licensed engineering firm which is headquartered in Palm Beach, Florida with 18 offices nationwide including its newest office which just opened in Portland, OR. ETS works with many of the Top 100 CPA firms and Fortune 500 companies nationwide.
ETS Featured Programs & Services include the Energy Certification which allows real estate investors to qualify for up to $1.80 per sq. ft. in energy incentives from the IRS.
Return On Energy focuses on forensic energy audits of major real estate facilities to derive a solution to minimize energy and carbon and provide a net solution for the carbon credit cap and trade market. Mr. Gonzalez opened this subsidiary to establish a national leader is the carbon credit field for corporations looking to be good corporate citizens and make a difference in the evolving green markets.

Julio P. Gonzalez is assisted by a staff of dedicated professionals with expertise in engineering, architecture and accounting. Engineered Tax Services, Inc. specializes in providing a wide spectrum of engineered accounting solutions to include cost segregation studies, energy tax credits, Green Building and LEEDS Building engineering and certification. Mr. Gonzalez is a pioneer in the tax energy field and devoted to the conservation of resources. He donates his time to the U.S. Green Building Council in Chicago.
Mr. Gonzalez is devoted to educating the CPA, Financial Advisor and Real Estate Investor community on engineered accounting services and the related tax consequences of these services. He speaks nationally regarding cost segregation studies, green construction and the emerging energy tax programs for Lorman, NBI and The Seminar Group. Mr. Gonzalez has had recent articles published nationally in many CPA and Real Estate Investment Publications.
Mr. Gonzalez has worked on automating the IRS approved software programs to help the CPA community understand and better educate their clients on the significance of energy efficient buildings and how the substantial tax benefits can be to the investor and the earth¿s resources.
Mr. Gonzalez is a Board of Director for the National Park Trust Foundation which he devotes his time to conserving the National Park resources.
