Justin's Story
Life
Ahhh...such a tangled tapestry I've ended up weaving for myself...entirely on accident too, but it's been a fun accident so far. Right now, just living on my own, in Bay City, but in a moderatly slick appartment on Center Ave, so there's one of my little life goals taken down off the list right there...Still single at the moment ("Dangerously single" as a friend of mine would say...) but thats just life. Now the question on everyones mind...am I still that same crazed dimwit you all once knew? Yes and no. I'm no longer crazed, but more to the tune of being happily eccentric, or some such nonsense like that. Basically just the same person, just turned WAYYYYYYY down on the intensity dial. Makes life a bit more bearable being around me that way. Go figure, it took me HOW long to figure that one out? Ah well. At least I figured it out!
College
University was a pretty unique trip for me. I got as far as an associates, then moved on to Central Michigan to pursue a degree in education. Well, before you recoil in terror at that thought TOO hard, you'll be glad to know that plan didn't go anywhere near as well as planned. Failing that initial idea, I floundered about for a semester or two and then inadvertantly discovered a latant gift of all things geological. Therefore, one ma...Expand for more
jor change later, and I was off on a quest to become an enviromental scientist...(Or if you actually went to CMU and Earth Science major...) Sadly though, I ended up falling short of that as well having to make the painful decision of if I should pay my tuition for my final sememster there, OR actually being able to afford food and housing for the next 6 months. Oddly enough, I chose food and housing....go fig. So I'm currently left with an associates in science, and a nearly completed Earth Science degree with only a year and a half to go on it. Oh well...at least I gave it a shot....
Workplace
Wow...okay...all the places I've been for work...and TRUST ME, I've had more than a few unique jobs by far! Currently, I'm working in the VERY last place I ever thought I'd end up at. Working in an iron foundry out in Vassar. But the pay is too nice to walk away from, and hey, full health benifits are a tricky thing to leave as well! But ohhhh the places I've been!!!! I've been an animal handler for zoos, used some of my ecology training to take surveys of mosquito infested areas, actually worked for "The Mouse" in Orlando (now THERE was a surreal job if ever I had one!) But in the end, I came back home and got stuck working where I am now. Well, at least I know where the good resturants are...
