Justine's Story
I live in Los Osos, CA. which is west of San Luis Obispo. We moved here 20 years ago when my husband retired in San Bernardino. I had lived there my entire life, well in Colton for several years, then Yucaipa, then back to San Bernardino when my first husband Dick Herbert (class of '49) passed away in 1978. My life has been very ordinary, Dick and I had 4 sons who are now 49, 44, and two who are 41. The two youngest live in San Luis Obispo which makes me feel very fortunate. I love keeping in touch with old classmates, have only missed one reunion, my 25th and love seeing old friends. who lives in Santa Maria. WE were celebrating his 49th b'day last summer.
I haven't been on Classmates for sometime so as I read this, it's really out of date.
I'm looking at "81" next month as I guess most of our class is doing this year. I've lost several dear friends in the last few years, Nola Sue Cariker Johnson, Paula Fagette Fogg and just recently Kay Gray Hahn. We had all remained friends since high school and kept in touch. I miss them a lot.
I must have written the above 6 years ago and not much has happened since then. We still live in Los Osos and enjoy every day looking out at the ocean. I also still enjoy hearing from old friends so please feel free to contact me.
