K's Story

Still a nature lover/ hiker and learning-centered readaholic. Married at age 26 in a National Park to a Midwesterner I met in interior AK. We both have N Dakota immigrant stories. His Scandinavian-Am Gparents stayed farming but my Danish Gpa abandoned his ranch and moved to Aroostook County, ME where my dad was raised. We have 3 sons plus we...Expand for more
frequently hosted international students, including some of my univ. students as well as year-long h.s.students including Maia from arctic Norway. Grateful both of us are healthy enough to be active Gparents. So rewarding… Our 5 grandkids (4 boys and only one girl) are young: ages 5, 2 1/2, 2, and identical twins 6 months (as of Feb 2024).
