Kailin's Story
Can't believe it's been 20 years since we were in high school. Wow.
High school seems like a series of flashbacks for me...yearbook photos mixed with John Hughes film scenes.
I have to say, it was fun going to high school when it was fashionable to have gigantic hair, big earrings, big bangles, and big shoulder pads. Dressing like Madonna was it, but dressing like Michael Jackson was even better.
I still have one or two of those Argyle sweater vests, but I wonder if my mother had saved the penny loafers...just kidding.
I also still remember what it was like to be in high school since I write young adult n...Expand for more
ovels, tween books, and chick lit novels for a living. (I didn't realize that my "Best Senior Writer" Award for writing for the school newspaper would eventually lead me here lol.) Now I give presentations and readings at schools, PTA meetings, and conferences!
Aside from what I do, I'm also very much a Mommy to my preschool daughter (my pride and joy) and a happily married wife to an attorney.
I'm sorry I couldn't make the high school reunion, but hope everyone who went, had a great time. I sincerely hope everyone happiness and good health. You can find me on facebook, too.
