Kara's Story

Life Where do I begin.... after high school I attended Pepperdine University in Malibu and Loved It! but after two years transferred to BYU in Utah. Continued in school and went to Hawaii for a semester and Loved It! Anyway, married for 15 years had 5 kids and travelled all over the country. Divorced and re-married and added 3 more kids. I now have 7 new grand babies and have settled in Utah for the past 10 years (again in the mountains and I so love the ocean and the beach) and will probably move when my last two sons finish school. *Well an update to this is... my oldest son did finish school the same year and my youngest son died suddenly of a heart attack (he was 12). This has changed the whole family. It was very crippling to some of my kids because he was the sweetest one in the whole bunch and we all miss him terribly. I've stayed busy working, watching my kids in sports, volunteering in the community and on the City C...Expand for more
ouncil. I stay busy in the PTA and LDS church and know that service has brought so much joy to my life. I have gone through another divorce but have remained close to all the kids, ex's and grand kids. After a year of grieving and 10 more months living alone, I did meet someone. I was surprised, because I didn't even want to date again. Luckily, he was a cousin to some friends of mine at Sundance., so I could check up on him. We were married in Santa Barbara and live in California now with his 16 year old daughter. Life is good! I travel alot to visit my kids and grand babies. To all those I was distant and a brat to in high school, I apologize. It took me a while to relax and figure out life a little. I was a real grump through most of school years. With the Multiple Sclerosis now my memory is drifting, so I may have a hard time remembering things. Sorry to anyone that I didn't treat with kindness and respect!! Write me...
