do it all over again? that's what classmates.com is suggesting? hell, i hated it the first time!
it has taken me many years of working at barnes and noble (for the discount of course) and reading their self help books to get over my experience.
kidding. wouldn't touch retail with a 10 foot pole.
but you people are way more fun as adults.
College
university of texas at austin.
two degrees in four years.
seriously lacked in the have fun department.
i'm so glad i don't take myself quite as seriously as i did back then.
i mean, i always had a wicked sense of dry humor, but now i can actually turn that humor towards myself.
and hell, have i used those degrees?
Workplace
i started out as a graphic designer for a few internet companies. taught computer apps to several businesses around dallas, then i taught at an "alternative" high school in northern california. great kids, actually. even though some of them were older than i...Expand for more
was. seriously.
then got the acting bug (ok, so i've always been a drama queen) and headed to hollywood. i still live here and love it. couldn't imagine doing anything else. have worked on several tv shows and movies, several commercials - banks in switzerland and mexico love me - and if you decide for some odd reason to get a job in a verizon store, you'll see me in your training video.
update - yes that's me in the quizno's commercial. no i'm not that "wide" - it's called a wide lense for a reason.
yes that's me in the continental airlines, gmc, orville redenbacher, etc commercials. apparently i look "midwest" enough to be the face of products in kansas. go figure.
Military
what's with this whole section for the military?
everyone who knows me gets that i couldn't stand authority back in high school.
still can't.
i wouldn't last one day in the service.
thank you to those who can...i think you're nuts.
and i appreciate you.
