Kara's Story
25 years in the great SouthWest makes it feel like home. I'm completely comfortable with the usual New Mexican Question while dining out: "Red or Green?" Then I see a real tree somewhere, not a cottonwood or russion olive, but a true evergreen or maybe even an Aspen tree and I am instantly "homesick" for Colorado.
I am also used to people in other parts of the United States thinking that New Mexico is a foreign country. They think that we don't speak English, use dollars or that we must have a passport to travel.
I hardly ever get to work with people at their best. I broker my own 2 real estate offices and folks are either moving in or moving out and are therefore under great stress and often not rational. gazine because in her clairvoyant state, I was the perfect match for the client. I will try not to let her down.
Generally life is great. I adjusted to the "empty nest" very quickly. All 4 kids are out on their own! With a slate of business and real estate classes to teach at our local college, I keep in touch with "the kids" (mine and a host of others) and feel really greatful that I'm no longer responsible for raising them and that they are, in fact, responsible for what they learn or don't. Takes the pressure off of me! I love the education process and look forward to a new group of student's each term. Amazing what the gool old USA has to offer!
With God's help and a great country to live in, it is true that "If it is to be, It's up to me!"
God bless America and each of you true Glenwoodians at heart! Go Demons! Love, Kara
