Karein's Story
I suppose it's quite typical, reaching the 50 year mark of our lives and becoming more aware of the passing of time. That's what brought me to this page today. High School seems so long ago, but since I now teach undergraduates who have just left that part of their lives behind, I guess I do sometimes think back to how things were and how much things have changed since then. I've been back to Iowa City a few times (for a Prairie Lights reunion where I worked through high school and college and to visit the Physics Department memorial), but have otherwise lost touch with the place I called home in the 1980s. I've stayed in touch with a few people from our class, but then touch lost again. Looking through the yearbook for the first time (I must've missed 1984 photo day as I think I was regrettably absent-minded for most of those high school years) I'm remembering names and faces again. Wow, did we really have hairstyles like that! I'd forgotten. Happy 50s to you all!
