Karen's Story
When I graduated from high school I got a job at an Insurance Company and stayed their 11 years. I met my husband Chuck on my birthday Dec 21st at the Quay with April Hoffman. we dated for 6 years and got married in 1983. we had our son Matthew in 1992 and hes our only child. we moved to Colorado Springs in 1986 and right now I go part time between there and Florida. we had great friends in Colorado though now they all moved away and I was not crazy about living there. 5 years ago my Mom got dementia and I took care of her till 2018 and she passed away. ad it too. I always liked Florida and thats my life between 2 places. I worked for one place in Colorado for 20 years in Human Resources. I was the only one who didnt have a degree or college education but I did just fine. now I am retired. My son got married in 2019 to his beautiful wife Emily he is a captain in the Army and flies blackhawk helicopters and also aircraft we are so proud of all his accomplishments so now we wanna be grandparents! thats the next move. My husband retired from his job in March of this year and we have been traveling which we love.
