Karen Baddell's Story
I remember.............walking to school. biking to school......in a dress.
Orchestra. Mrs. Watling. Choir. Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Thompson. Lots of music touring. Concerts in the gym and the difficulties with the echo. Sweating through the solo in the Nutcracker Suite/Waltz of the Flowers.
Freshman Debate. Not wanting to walk across the open courtyard. Going to the Proms. Rally girls. Football games.
Endless homework. Writing stories in English. Liking Physics.

t of glamour years, and some nice accomplishments. I even spent a year in Australia, although I would rather have done it in England.
Life, now, is.....life. A lot of work mixed with love, committment, adventure, and a 12 year old son. A lot of endurance and going the extra distance. A lot of remembering how to be tenacious and gracious at the same time......
In this dubious, unglamourous age of 57, I'm making conscious choices to keep the spirit of my youth and meld it with the wisdom from experience.
