Karen's Story
Life
Karen Baredziak Miller aka "Birdseed". After 20 years in Northern California have recently moved to the Dallas Metroplex. While most people our age are thinking retirement, I just changed jobs and am getting used to being a Texan. Married my college sweetheart (Craig) and "what a long strange road it's been" In corporate life for 18 years, retired at 40 and was self-employed in the restaurant business. Started back in corporate in 2001 and have continued career at a new company. I'm learning to love Dr Pepper, Snapple 7-Up, etc. now that I'm at Cadbury Beverages in Plano TX.

. Passions include gourmet cooking and the wine that goes with it, collecting cookbooks (mainly ethnic and antique), golf, my family, traveling and writing some poetry. Hope to publish a cookbook. Most of my trips are NYC where Caitlin is in grad school at Wagner College, in fact the summmer of '04 we drove her car back - what a fun 3000 miles. Not ready for retirement (- Craig already has) but eventually we'll get our RV and cruise the country. Look out we may be coming your way! Get home to Chicago a couple times a year. Usually on business but also to settle my moms' estate (she passed away 9/23/06). Also down to Phoenix where Craig's mom lives
