Karen's Story
Life
Married Johnny Waters from Blackshear in 1978. Worked as a Legal Secretary first for Joe Newton, then, Judge Ben Smith until we moved to Lake Park in 1988 for my husband's job. We have a daughter, 24 years old, and a son-in-law, and a son, 16 years old. Now we have the most adorable grandson God ever made! He is precious! He has white blond hair and the clearest blue eyes you have ever seen! Most definitely doesn't inherit his coloring from our side of the family! We have built 4 homes since we moved to Lake Park (sold 3) and now we have a contract on this house. We hope to be building again within a few weeks (on a lot 3 doors down). I work for the State of Georgia with the Dept. of Transportation and hope to retire in 7 years or sooner. We attend Francis Lake Baptist Church where I teach 3rd Grade Sunday School and sing in the choir. We go to the beach as many times as possible every summer, to the Smoky Mountains, and take the kids to the Magic Kingdom as much as possible.
