Karen's Story
HI, I made the mistake of going right on to college after HS. After some travel I left smoggy LA for the south, and discovered that it was not so cheap to live on my own. Everyone thought the weirdo's were in California but I can tell you from experience that they are breed elsewhere. My degree in psychology proved worthless and so I decided to get a trade and chose nursing. It was come in handy. My eternal quest for Mr. right has failed time after time. I could have settled down, but I never married my mistakes. My brothers have made up for me. I have 3 fantastic nieces. Right now I share my house with someone. (only plantonic). We have 3 dogs and 4 cats between us. I work in psychiatry and hope to still have some sanity left when I retire. I have a passion for travel, cooking and planting, but most of all Happy Hour. tend the Center for Spiritual Living whenever I can. My Dad is deceased and My Mother had a stroke. I help care for her. I get my validation from my friends and my dogs. I have no desire to get married but a male travel companion would be great. I am not holding my breath. If there is one thing I learned a long time ago is that you have to plant your own garden and one cannot rely on anyone else. Being in HS was such an innnocent time in my life. Its good I had no idea what was in store for me because I could not have handled it. I look forward to reconnecting with those who lived in WC and shared that innocent past. What really fulfills me now is volunteering with animal shelters and our new spay and neuter clinic. I did animal rescue before I left West Covina. I do it on a greater scale now. My dream is to buy some land before it really skyrockets here in the midwest and be able to have more animals and retreat from the rat race.
