Karen's Story

Life Life is good. I've been married for 18 months to my second husband, Horst Griesbaum. I met him on Match.com. He is from Germany but has lived in the U.S. for 21 years and is now a citizen. We are raising his daughter, Julia, who turned 11 last week (4/2005). I have been living in Lexington, KY since 1993. It is a beautiful place to live. After graduating from the College of Charleston in 1981, I moved with my first husband (Enoch Harding) to Macon, Ga. From there we moved several times as he moved up in his career. We lived in Springfield, MA, Chapel Hill, NC, St. Louis, MO, Melbourne, FL and finally here. We divorced in 1996. In 1994 I returned to school to study occupational therapy. al health and dementia in particular. I love my work. I have two pretty much grown children. Emily is a college senior and Brian is a sophomore. They both attend colleges here in town. They both took German throughout secondary school and can communicate with my in-laws better than I can. I am still very much an "animal" person. We currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats, but Enoch and I also had 2 parrots. The newest thing is my life is that I'm getting ready to sell some of my antiques on E-Bay. When Horst and I combined houses last year, there just wasn't room for everything. We also just purchased a new travel trailer. We like to spend at least one weekend a month at Cave Run Lake. I hope to see everyone at a 30th reunion next year!
