Karen's Story
what kind of story would you a like to hear I wonder? The person I was? The person I became? The journey I wandered through over the last 40 some years? All I can say is thank God life becomes more than our high school experiences!!! So, I was a counselor, then a college professor teaching counseling, then a leadership trainer for the VA, and then my brain gave out and I retired. I am now a fulltime volunteer in various places. God/church has been central in my life. I participate, sing in the choir, attend a regular small gro...Expand for more
up meeting, and was a missionary in Mexico for a short while. And I did a little more with my singing than high school and church choir. Sang with the Washington Opera for a few years - have great pictures!! My parents decided to jump on the wagon and became late life actors - were voted best actor and actress in Orange County one year. Now, given my disability, I am thankful to have meaningful volunteer work, good friends, a lovely place to live, and a good roommate who ensures I am okay and sets up some fun activities for us.
