After HS I came to MN to attend Bethel College. I never went back to Illinois. At times I still miss the Chicago area. It was a great place to grow up. I wanted to be a nurse so transferred after I year, to nurses training, graduating as a registered nurse in 1968. I worked OB for 20 years. reer. Day hours and no weekends!!! 2 months before my planned retirement I suffered a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. I am very thankful to be alive to spend time with my 3 children and 6 grand kids.
