Right after graduation in 1966, I went to work at Pacific Telephone company in Huntingtion Park a telehone operator. It was back in the day when you dialed 0, you actually got a real person to talk with! It was also in that time when women wore dresses and stocking and the whole nine yards to work. There were no jeans or slacks, way ti causal to be worn in a locked building where there were no people to see except for co-workers! Different era! How dress codes have changed! I had dated Michael Garofalo since the 11th grade, and we married in January 1967. He was a college student at Cal State LA, but had lost his student status and was to drafted. He joined the US Air Force, and spent four very interesting years in Biloxi, MS. WE got to experience Hurricane Camille, not something I would want to experience again.
