Life
Hello fellow ACHS folks. I am Karen (Harris) in school. I was a troubled young girl and filled with a lot of rebelliousness. I outgrew that, thank God. I was married in 1972, I have one son born in 1972. I divorced in 1979 after years of being beat by an unfaithful and drunk husband. I worked in the Automobile business as a Finance Mgr.( 17 years) Was blessed with much success. Lived in the Whittier, Hacienda Heights area most of my adult years. I now reside in Chino Hills. Stayed single till my son was grown. Remarried a wonderful man in 1997. I have 3 step children (2 boys-1 girl). My son has blesssed me with 3 grandsons. I also have 11 other grandchildren from my other kids. I even have triplet grandsons. They are all wonderful and spoil me so much. In 1993 I went to work for Ford Motor co. I was a trainer, giving seminars all over the western regions territory, as well as serving a local Orange County territory. I became quite ill in 2000. I was finally diagnosed with Lupus in 2002. am on oxygen all the time because the Lupus has attacked my Lungs. My husband and the kids have been wonderful. I have had to pray for much strength through all the pain and misery that Lupus brings upon your life. But I keep on smiling, because my God is still on the throne and He is with me every step of the way. My talk of the Lord in high school gradually became a walk also, praise God. I do alot of reading because of being physically challenged, I do scrapbooking, painting (both acrylic and water colors) as means for entertainment for myself. I take approximately 30 pills a day. Many have had severe side effects on me, causing other diseases to sneak in on me. I am currently on CHemo and don't mind much,(haven't lost my hair yet). It is thinner. The steroids caused me to blow up like a balloon. They tell me one day I will go back to my normal weight. Well, I think that is all the highlights of my life.
