Karen's Story
I graduated from St. Michael's College (VT) in 1988 with a Business Degree/Biology Minor. I moved to the Boston area after graduation where I started working as a medical illustrator/desktop publisher at CLD in Belmont, MA. While there, I went back to school part time at Mass College of Art, Boston and received my Graphic Design degree in 1995. I worked at CLD for 12 years in many positions, working my way up to Creative Director. I met my husband at CLD; we were married in 1998. rls playing for their town teams and club soccer and now both will be playing soccer in college (St. Lawrence University & Hamilton College). We bought our first home in 2001 in Somerville, MA - an early 1900's historic row house that we fully renovated. I started my own graphic design business with a partner in 2000 and worked from home full time until 2013 when I took a graphic design position working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Have since moved to Winchester, MA and figuring out where to go next now that our youngest is graduating from HS this June (2023) and headed to Hamilton College.
