Karen's Story

After leaving Michigan, she spent most of her life in Florida. Her schools include Lake Michigan Catholic High School and Indian River State College. She was elected to the St Lucie County School Board where she served for 8 years. Following her two...Expand for more
terms in office, she worked at the United Way of St Lucie County where she worked as VP of Development, and then 19 years as CEO/President. Karen retired in March of 2020. Following her retirement she traveled and is now living in Tallahassee, FL.

This special picture was when my grandsons visited their great-grandma in Michigan. They are pretty much all grown up now, and my mom is no longer with us, but the memories live on.
I had fun with grandkids and sisters tonight doing crafts.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family. I was happy to be with six of my grandkids on this Thanksgiving day. Looking forward to being with the other five in the near future.
Remembering the fun times we all had. I believe this was Cheryl‘s birthday celebration in Florida.
