Karen's Story
A week after graduation, I got married to Robert Keller.
We then moved to Campbellsburg, Indiana, where we have been in the same house for 38 years.
In Jan, 74 we had a son (Russell) who is 36, and has 1 daughter, (Abigail 8) who is our second granddaughter.
In July 76 we had another son (Richard)
who is 34 and he has a son (Aiden 4)
our second grand son. In 77 we had a daughter (Lynn) who is 32 had our first granddaughter LeAnna and our first grandson Evan. My gandkids are the love of my life and I'm able to see 3 of them every week. Abigail we are not able to see, result of a divorce and she lives 5 hours away, but we are able to get to see her...Expand for more
once a month, then 6 weeks in the summer.
Robert and his brother, farm, they have 1,000 acres. Plant corn, soybeans and wheat, some clover for hay. They also raise laying hens for Tyson Foods. 18,000 hens 2,000 roosters. Have 200 head of cattle.
I work at Jeans Extrusions, which make refrigeration gaskets, and have been then for 17 years, and love it.
I was very lucky to be a stay at home mom. Then when the kids started high school I began working.
I have been blessed with good health and a very loving family.
I don't get back to Colorado Springs very often. My parents still live there and in the same house that I was raised in.
Life is good.
