Karen's Story
Life
Well, alot has happened since 1973 and as I look through the years, it all has been, in the long run, great. Yes, we all have ups and downs, but, hey, it would be boring if there was no excitement in our lives. I turned the big 50 this past year (and plan on celebrating this coming spring on a week cruise with my bestest friend from high school, Vickie) You might say there is a midlife crisis that came about three years ago, with the purchase of my first Harley (and now my second one) and if I say so myself, the best thing I have done in a long time. The people I have met, the rides I have done and the fun I have had is hard to put into words! Leathers and lace would be an appropriate word for my wardrobe. I am currently working for the Police Dept in my city of Palm Bay and work as a 911 dispatcher. Interesting is a calm word to say about the day. My daughter, Courtney gave birth to a little girl Kayla...Expand for more
, and is due anytime with my second, Kaya, which is giving me a new outlook into the world Grandmotherhood"; in which I plan to spoil and take on rides once both are older. They will be the only kids in school who will tell about their summer riding on the back of a harley with grandma.....I have two best friends in the world, both of whom we have kept in touch for over 30 years since Southwest, one being Vickie and one being Howard. Both graduated from Southwest and we see each other on a regular basis. Hard to find true blue friends and these two are the best. We have been through the good and bad times together and still will even when we are 80! My experiences in life, as I look back have all been a learning experience and have led me to where I am now, which is happy and loving life! I wish that for everyone! And the memories, well, thats what they are, memories, and I am ready to create more every day!
