Karen's Story
Life
After graduation I went to Wichita State University for a year and a half. I then married my high school sweetheart Ronald Marks who just happened to go to Argentine High School. He was in the Marine Corps and stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. After Ronnie was discharged we moved to Carson, California for 5 years and then to San Pedro, California for the next two years. We moved back to Kansas City in 1982. We have three grown children Talisha 34, Raweena 27, Ronald Jr. 26 and two grandsons Edward III 8 and Christian 23 months. Since that time Ronnie and I divorced in 2007 but remain good friends. ldest grandson Edward is now 17, Christian will be 11.We have another grandson Caleb who will be 4. My son Ronald Jr. is now married and has twin boys Kingston and Koen who will be turning 4 June 10. Since my last update to my profile Ronnie and I have gotten back together and planned to get married in 2024. Ronnie became ill and was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoma of his liver. He has been in and out of the hospital since May of this year. He passed October 28th and we buried him November 14th at Fort Leavenwoth. Even though we did not get to give our life another chance I will always love him. He was my high school sweetheart and divorce never changed how we felt about each other.
