Karen's Story
After graduation I started at Carroll Community College where I graduated three years later with my AA degree with a focus in early childhood education. From there I went to Villa Julie College and graduated with my BS in liberal arts and technology with a teaching certificate. I was hired straight out of college to be a Kindergarten teacher for BCPS. I have been teaching for BCPS for the past 7 years. on a new teaching experience for the 2014-15 school year. I will be teaching 40 pre-k students and I am really excited! In 2008 I married my first husband and after a year together he told me that he had been unfaithful and we divorced in 2010. Later that same year I met another man and we started dating. This past June I married my second husband. We have two cats and a dog. We joined a local church in May. The same one we got married in and I was also baptized there.
