Karen's Story

Life I've beem married to the same man since December 20, 1966, and we have four kids: Mike, Cathy, Tony and Andy. We also have two grandsons; Christian, 9 yrs old, and Logan, a year old in October. When Bob and I married, he was in the Air Force. Our honeymoon was spent driving to Cincinnati, Ohio before reporting for schooling at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, IL. From there we moved to Plattsburg, New York; and 18 months later we were stationed on Guam. After Bob resigned his commission, we returned to Cincinnati where he had a job waiting with GM. ...Expand for more
Since then the kids have grown and scattered. My oldest son is in the Air Force in Turkey; my daughter, and her family live 15 miles away; my youngest son, Andy, lives 2 miles from our house; and Tony lives with his wife and son in Gillette, Wyoming. I work at Procter & Gamble as a Purchasing Associate in the Energy Department buying electricity for our plants in deregulated states. Never would have guessed it many years ago. It's been an interesting life; not one that I would have planned, but I wouldn't have missed a moment of it for the world.
