Karen's Story
I'm using the story wizard. How do I hope friends remember me?...I just hope that their memories are still intact.
I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. Actually I had no idea what I was going to be...it was teacher, nurse, writer, explorer and all sorts of stuff that went flying thru my head at diff. times. A Clin. Lab Microbiologist was the endgame for me, career-wise and working in hosp.labs for over 30yrs, still like my job, how lucky. I also teach group fitness classes at a large fitness company in MN and act in community theater locally sometmes.
Blowing off steam, Ok once in a while a primal scream is necessary (or teaching a dance jam class at the club lets some steam loose too). Favorite way to relax...breathe, sleep, clear mind, hot bubble bath, look at beutiful things, nature outside, art, music.
What's the wildest thing I ever did at school? I'm not sure, but I bet it involved another person.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have break , lunch, and wonder co-workers to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero? My inspiration? Heros are my parents, thankful for being here and the foundation that they laid for me...Expand for more
to build on and inspiration, god-given comes from somewhere, everywhere.
Where have I lived? This a chapter. Born Long Island, NY, lived in Brooklyn,NY, New Rochelle,NY, Quincy,MA, Oscoda,MI, Rapid City,SD, Witchita Falls,TX, Hounslow West,England, Presque Isle,ME, AVON.MA:),Bonnigheim, Germany, Cambridge,MA and Brooklyn Park,MN. It prob. sounds like I'm trying to allude the FBI... but my dad was in the air force and when he retired we moved to AVON!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my dad, because he died when I was 23yrs old and I was just getting to know him as a person. Spent lots of time with mom, she just passed last year. So lucky to have her for so long.
Sports...skiing,skating, biking,canoeing...all fun. Reality TV...Survivor. Have a cat Jack, my 17year old love bug (used to be called Jack the Ripper). Love dogs, horses, bunnes, etc. but only have the Jackster.
Biggest surprise in life when things don't turn out the way you expect...they turn out OK anyway and there are so many lovely people in the world ready to catch you when you're down. So the best advice...expect nothing and everything good that comes your way is a gift.
That's 10 out of 20 from the story wizard. Another time for 11-20.
